Summer Nights

Carson and I are soaking up every last bit of Summer time activities that we possibly can.  On Monday night, we had some fun at the pool.  It is a fun evening activity that we both enjoy.  The pool isn't packed with people, the sky is gorgeous, it isn't blazing hot outside, and we splash and have a fun time.

Little side note......our Wee Lad loves bugs.  He will chase them around forever.  And, it doesn't matter what kind of bug it is......spider, ant, beetle, bee---he will try and pick it up.  Eww.

It is really starting to hit me hard that Summer is coming to a screeching halt soon.  And, I really don't think I am ready for it.  I am enjoying the warm Summer days, pool time, ice cream dates, and fun outdoor activities.  Granted, the outdoor activities may be even more fun in the Autumn, and Fall....when we aren't sweating bullets the whole time, but I'm not ready for the heat to leave.

My ultimate favorite season of the year is by far Fall.  I love everything about it.  The colors, scents, activities, weather, apparel...everything.  So, with that being said, I haven't ever been much of a 'heat', and 'Summer' lover.  Until, I had a child!  The look on Carson's face at the pool, is priceless.  His rosy cheeks at the park, indicating he is having so much fun running around, warms my heart.  And, not having to put on jackets, socks, shoes, and hats......is lovely!

So, we are savoring all that is Summer.  I hope the heat sticks around at least through August, so we can enjoy as much time outside, and at the pool as possible.  Easy grilled meals, with sweet corn.  And more fresh fruit, and park dates.

We are getting pretty accustomed to this busy life style together.  Carson is always along for the ride.  He gets drug everywhere that I go, and he has no complaints.  And for that, I am very thankful!  I really enjoy our evenings together, and I am loving this little boy more than ever...if that is even possible.

  1. Carson's toga wrap of a towel is cute cute cute. I agree with you that it is difficult to say so long to the summer fun - it's officially over here in Indy for school started yesterday. You'll need to start a bug collection for Carson-enlarge his knowledge.Hmm.
